This is THE CDA Annual Event of the Year (in place of our typical Conference) – the event every member and others should make a priority to attend. It will feature our Key Note Speaker Assembly Member Travis Allen candidate for CA Governor and Robert G. Hulteng Labor Law Expert with Littler Mendelson. Our panel of speakers will provide in depth analysis regarding the political landscape, labor law considerations, courier industry best practices and growing market trends to consider for 2018.
CDA’s Spring Meeting & Issue Update will include:
- A terrific program featuring some of California’s leading transportation leaders sharing their insight and engaging with our members
- Capitol visits with your district representatives
- A networking reception at the end of the day – food, beverages and mix-mingling with fellow members, state leaders and industry friends
We will be providing an event flyer in the coming weeks to share with others. This will be a great opportunity to recruit new members and to help grow our voice, membership and strength. Non-members will receive $99 off if they join at the event or their entry fee comped.

Labor & Employment Law in the New Administration
Mr. Hulteng will provide an overview of the new CA laws impacting the delivery industry for 2018 as well as strategic considerations for your business and workforce. Additionally, he will discuss the legal impact to the latest CA Superior Court ruling for Dynamex regarding test for employees vs. independent contractors and much more.
12pm -Travis Allen Assembly Member 72nd District (Lunch Speaker)
Initiatives to provide jobs for the delivery industry, CA Gas Tax Repeal and path to victory for our next Governor.
Assemblymember Allen will discuss his run for CA Governor, CA Gas Tax Repeal efforts, vision of how he would improve the state and initiatives to provide jobs and future growth in the delivery industry.
1pm – 4pm District Representative visits @ CA State Capitol
An opportunity to speak with your District Representatives about real issues affecting your business and other elected officials as we storm the State Capitol.
