This is THE CDA ANNUAL EVENT OF THE YEAR (in place of our typical Conference) – the event every member and others should make a priority to attend. It will feature our Key Note Speakers Senator Mike Morrell District 23, Damon Ott & Mel Cole Labor Law Experts with Littler Mendelson. Our panel of speakers will provide in depth analysis regarding the political landscape, labor law considerations, courier industry best practices and growing market trends to consider for 2019.
CDA’s 2019 Annual Spring Meeting & Issue Update will include:
- A terrific program featuring some of California’s leading transportation leaders sharing their insight and engaging with our members
- Capitol visits with your district representatives
- A networking reception at the end of the day – food, beverages and mix-mingling with fellow members, state leaders and industry friends
We will be providing an event flyer in the coming weeks to share with others. This will be a great opportunity to recruit new members and to help grow our voice, membership and strength. Non-members will receive $99 off if they join at the event or their entry fee comped. Again, this is THE CDA Main Event of the Year – every member should make this a priority to attend!
If you are interested in Sponsoring the event we offer the following levels:
Bronze – $500 – Company name on advertising for event and recognition of sponsor level plus 1 minute sales pitch @ event.
Silver – $1000 – Company name on advertising and recognition of sponsor level plus 2 minute sales pitch @ event.
Gold – $1500 – Company name on advertising and recognition of sponsor level plus 5 minute sales pitch @ event.

Labor & Employment Law
Mr. Ott and Ms. Col will provide an overview of the new CA laws impacting the delivery industry for 2019 as well as strategic considerations for your business and workforce. Additionally, they will provide an update on the CA Superior Court ruling for Dynamex regarding test for employees vs. independent contractors and much more.
12pm -Mike Morrell, Senator District 23 (Lunch Speaker)
Transportation committee key issues including impact on the gig economy and last mile delivery considerations for 2019.
Senator Morrell will discuss the key issues facing the delivery industry for 2019, current events and his role on the Transportation committee.
12:30pm -Tiffany Roberts Director, Legislative and Regulatory Policy – WSPA Key Issues for 2019
Tiffany Roberts will cover the key issues for 2019 including an update on Cap and Trade and AB 617.
1pm – 3pm District Representative visits @ CA State Capitol
An opportunity to speak with your District Representatives about real issues affecting your business and other elected officials as we storm the State Capitol.
