This is THE CDA ANNUAL EVENT OF THE YEAR (in place of our typical Conference) – the event every member and others should make a priority to attend. It will feature our Key Note Speakers Assembly Member Kevin Kiley 6th District, and Brett Ferguson – Associate Attorney Marron Lawyers. Our panel of speakers will provide in depth analysis regarding the political landscape, labor law considerations, courier industry best practices and growing market trends to consider for 2020.
CDA’s 2020 Annual Meeting & Issue Update will include:

-2020 Legislative Update
Mr. Ferguson will provide an overview of the new CA laws impacting the delivery industry for 2020 as well as strategic considerations for your business and workforce. Additionally, he will provide an update on Covid-19, key labor law decisions by the NLRB and best practices on how to avoid PAGA lawsuits. He will also cover wage and hour pitfalls and company best practices including an update regarding considerations for employee and independent contractor business models post AB 5, Prop 22 and much more.
12pm – 12:30pm -Tiffany Roberts Director, Legislative and Regulatory Policy – WSPA Key Issues for 2020
– Mobile Source Rules
Mrs. Roberts will cover the key issues for 2020 including an update on Mobile Source Rules, Fuel Considerations and Current Events.
12:30 – 1pm -Kevin Kiley, Assembly Member District 6 (Keynote Lunch Speaker)
-Transportation & Legislative Key Issues
Transportation committee key issues including impact on the gig economy and last mile delivery considerations for 2020.
