In an effort to show our great member value and the power of our business-to-business networking, CDA will have a booth at the Express Carriers Association’s “2017 Shippers & Carriers Marketplace”, next week, March 28-30 at the InterContinental in Dallas, Texas. This is THE national conference where Shippers and Carriers network and provide referrals to form delivery and logistical partnerships – that means business opportunities for us, people! SAVE THE DATE: CDA’s 2017 Day at the Capitol – May 24th!

CDA has a date for our 2017 Day at the Capitol–Wednesday, May 24 in Sacramento. Join us for a great day to help make sure our industry issues and concerns are heard by the Governor’s Office, Legislature and other decision makers. The action-packed day will include visits with your legislators (we will schedule for you), special guest speakers on issues affecting us, lunch and a closing networking reception. CDA So Cal Networking Reception a Smashing Success!

CDA members and friends enjoyed a wonderful evening of industry information and networking at our Southern California Reception last Tuesday, March 14, in Burbank. Special thanks to J.C. Burnett and the crew at Loadchief for generously sponsoring this great event. Our special guest speaker was Beth Schroeder, labor law attorney with Lathrop & Gage, who provided a terrific update on recent meal and rest period rulings, employee leave compliance issues, minimum wage and more.
